MLB Playoffs: Cleveland survives; Chicago gets another chance
Cleveland defeated the White Sox 9–3 in Game 3 to keep its season alive and cut Chicago’s AL Division Series lead to 2–1. Jo Adell’s bases-clearing triple helped turn an early deficit into a lead, while seven Guardians pitchers combined for 19 strikeouts, a postseason record for a nine-inning game.
Game 4 is scheduled for tonight at 8 p.m. ET in Chicago, with coverage on TBS and HBO Max. A White Sox victory would send Chicago to face Tampa Bay in the ALCS; a Cleveland victory would force a deciding Game 5 on Saturday.
